Nutritional Considerations With the GLP-1 Medications

Presented by Roberta Anding and Leslie Bonci

Description

The use of GLP-1 receptor agonists for obesity and metabolic disease management has risen rapidly, creating a new set of nutritional and functional challenges. While effective for weight loss, these medications can contribute to reduced appetite, nutrient deficiencies, lean mass loss, and gastrointestinal symptoms.

This webinar will equip health professionals in supporting clients using GLP-1s. Practitioners will examine the medications’ physiological effects, nutritional risks, and clinical strategies for symptom relief and muscle preservation. Practitioners will also gain the tools to address client factors such as energy levels, muscle integrity, and hydration.
